Higher Grounds Fair-Trade Coffee (1 lb)

We don’t start our day without some righteous brew from our friends up the road at Higher Grounds.  Jody and Chris bring us this tasty Ya Basta blend which has been grown in the highlands of Chiapas by Las Abejas, a Mayan community organization committed to pacifism in their struggle for indigenous rights.  Through the Maya Vinic Cooperativo, this coffee is certified Fair Trade and while it has always been gown without chemicals, will not be certified Organic for another several months. Grown in the shade among companion plantings, this delicious full-bodied roast has little acidity and helps you get up and do what needs to be done.

Your purchase helps to ensure that the 600 families of this Acteal based Co-op will receive a livable wage and a sustainable future.

Sold in 1 pound, foil-lined bags, sealed for freshness.

Yum.
